SLR is an alternative rock band, formed in 2005 by Sinclair Woodward and his cousins Lucas and Ryan ("SLR" being an acronym of the founding members' first names). In 2007 SLR purchased professional recording equipment and began experimenting, recording songs that would later feature on the bands debut album. In 2008 the band shifted to a new studio (which is still in use) and finished its debut album, "A Mystery In Its Own Right", which was released in August 2008 on a "Mini-Disc" format. The album was reviewed in the Northland regional daily, "The Northern Advocate". In January 2009 Debbie joined the band and since then Debbie, Lucas and Ryan have been the main active members. The bands second album "Orientation to the Sun" was completed near Christmas '09. A "raw" version became available for download at ReverbNation.com in January while the final mastered version IS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT AMPLIFIER.CO.NZ (http://www.amplifier.co.nz/artist/50704/slr.html).
