IM a music promoter based in chelmsford essex uk.I host my own nights in venues mainly around chelmsford ,Ive my own record / promotions company SHAKSTER RECORDS .I started this back in may 2007 ,the same time i became manager of local rock outfit THE STUNTS ,At the same time I started work on putting together a 17 track cd filled with local essex bands. when completed I took out to west hollywood Los Angeles and gave out to people in the music industry on the sunset strip.
when I returned I saw a advert looking for local bands to preform at a beer festival in a local pub SEABRIGHTS BARN , I took my cd their and ended up orgainising the whole music event ,SO MY FIRST GIG WAS A 3 DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH 17 BANDS PLAYING , I not looked back since and have now hosted 137 gigs(15/1/2010) ,won best promoter of the year award at the panic mag awards,brought out 5 cds with local bands on ,been to SXSW ,meet loads of great people ,visited some amazing places and just live for music 24/7
