Kelsey was born and raised in Amsterdam. At the age of six she fell in love with music when she saw Michael Jackson for the first time on television, from that moment on she knew she wanted to become a singer. When she was eight years old she started a band called 'KCK' with two of her best friends. That musical project lasted until the end of primary school. Two years later Kelsey started singing again and she gave a performance at Bredero College with one of the former band members.
At her own school she took place in a rock band called 'Full clip'. In addition to her school performances she was also the support artist for the show 'Droomdouche' featuring comedian Frank Jochems. After a while Kelsey realized that rock wasn't where her passion lay. After making this decision Kelsey went solo and when she had reached the age of seventeen she started working again with Lee Rich from 'KCK'. They made a demo, which they completed in 2008 & after passing her examinations Kelsey decided to take a year off from school to work on her singing career. Lee Rich wanted the same, but unfortunately she failed her exams, so they both decided to go solo again. At the end of 2008 Kelsey auditioned for the second time at Studio West, now for her solo demo. In the progress she realised that the influences of soul (Betty Wright, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin) and pop (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince) had done their work. She also found out that when she sang jazz, her voice was at it?s best, her soulful tones bringing to life the lyrical meanderings of her growing written work.
In 2009 Kelsey has been keeping up a busy schedule of live performances & furthering her musical Education.
She was a guest singer for the Musical Production 'Jeans' & also made it to the semi finals of well know talent contests 'Talent Night' & 'Radio 538'. Not content to sit still for too long Kelsey was also accepted into the prestigous 'Rock Academy' in Tilburg Netherlands. Kelsey is now set to continue writing pop songs. This is her first solo demo and there is little doubt that Kelsey has the passion, talent & looks to make music her life.
