Born to Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Rory Garforth and Adam Myers play unique and dark contemporary folk music. On meeting in 2007 (whilst both in different bands) Garforth and Myers talked of the possibility of coming together to create a side project with a shared vision.
From the initial concept a number of demos were recorded, which attracted the attention of Producers Keith Angel and Andy Seward; perhaps best known for their work with such folk / roots luminaries as Jon Boden , Kate Rusby, Martin Simpson, John Tams, Chris Drever et al?
Work started on putting together a self-financed album in 2009 after months of writing, planning and preparation. The initial release is a four track EP that will be available from January 2010.
The illusive pair kicked off their live set in September 2009 in a small theatre in Sheffield to a very warm reception. Future live dates are expected in 2010 alongside the completion of the full-length album.
Rory & Adam will consider any serious gig proposition and we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch. Minimum stage spec is 2 x DI box + 2 x mic.
