Christopher John Blue is an actor singer/songwriter and guitarist born in Paisley Scotland in 1972. Christopher has been acting, writing, singing and playing guitar since the early eighties. He was a member of the Strathclyde Theatre and Dance Troup in Scotland which became National Playscheme Champions for their variety show "Spoof Of The Pops" which Christopher co-hosted at the age of 11. The show made national syndicated newspapers in the UK. He later immigrated to Toronto Canada where he joined an acting troupe for youth called The Jesters and continued to pursue his passion for acting. Later he became involved in several school plays as a teenager and became a part of The Scarborough Village Theatre group in his early twenties as well as singing and playing guitar in several bands.
In 1993 he returned to the UK and was accepted to South Devon College in Toquay England where he studied drama, music composition and theory. While working as a waiter in several seaside hotels Christopher began writing his own music compositions. Upon his return to Canada Christopher spent two years in British Columbia in 19996/97 living in Victoria, Quadra Is., Cortez Is., Kelowna and finally Vancouver. Unemployed, he became a busker on the streets with his guitar before returning to Toronto in winter of 1997 to front two bands; I.M.P.I and Mr. Skin & The Candy Coated Creeps. He has played various venues around British Columbia,Ontario Canada, the US and UK. Christopher later worked as a stage tech/sound engineer for former Virgin recording artist Nash The Slash. In 2001 Christopher was blessed and fortunate enough to work with and be the support act for one of his all time songwriting mentors the legandary Nik Kershaw on his 2001 "To Be Frank Tour." In 2002 Christopher made his acting debut in a short film entitled A Quiet Time Before Killing by Mark Miles and once again got the acting bug. A few years later in 2005 Christopher wrote, mixed & co-produced his debut solo album entitled Still Awake which he released independently on his own music publishing company label SEA BLUE MUSIC (ASCAP). Most recently as of 2009, and now a member of ASCAP & ACTRA Christopher has done two national commercials and in August filmed his first professional actor role in the 35mm short film entitled 3 Mothers by Lightchasers director Rafal Sokolowski (http://blinddogfilms.ca) which will make it's premier at the LA Shorts Festival at the AMC in Burbank California in 2010. The film stars Kristin Booth, Camilla Scott & Hannah Hogan. Christopher is currently in Canada & the US shooting a film entitled PIER 57 which he wrote the screenplay, co-produced and is starring in due for release on the film festival ciruit in 2011.
